January 2022 - Hope and a Future

All kids should be able to take for granted a good education, but many of the children in the village of San Jorge, Sololá, Guatemala do not have this opportunity. What prevents them from obtaining an education is a lack of money for the basic needs of school supplies, uniforms, basic food, and transportation costs. This can leave families in a cycle of poverty for generations. We are giving our 10% for January to this program.  This will help families just like this:

Bernardina and her husband live in ONE tiny room with her four children. Because her husband does not have a steady income, the oldest two, Antony and Cristian, are unable to attend school without sponsors.  This is not uncommon in this area around Lake Atitlan, and there are many families in need.  If you want to learn more about how to help, or even to sponsor some kids…there is more information HERE.
